If you dislike painting, like I do, you'll appreciate these tips to make it easy and fast! Nothing speeds it up like a good brush, the right paint, a nifty ladder, and a few gadgets.

Check out the tools I use.

Below are links to all the materials I used and recommend. Here’s the short version of the tips!

  1. Use spackle to fill small holes, use drywall compound if the paper is torn off the drywall.

  2. Dust the walls after sanding any repairs.

  3. Don’t secure the all sides of the drop cloth or it can pull away from the walls.

  4. Use proper cutting in technique with a brush or an edge guide to paint around trim without having to tape.

  5. Keep your roller loaded with paint, don’t try to roll all the paint out of it.

  6. Use a ladder to cut in the high corners, trim, and ceiling. Use an extension pole to roll high.

  7. Follow paint directions on recoat time!
